With Regulation no. 283 published in the Austrian G.U. of 30 June 2021 ( file attached below) there have been established supplementary driving restrictions in Austria for trucks with a total mass exceeding 7.5 t. for the summer months, in addition to the prohibitions already in force (from 3 pm on Saturday to 10 pm on Sunday).
In Tyrol, on the A / 12 and A / 13, for vehicles headed to Italy or that have to cross Italy for their final destination and for vehicles headed to Germany or that have to cross Germany for their final destination, it is a driving ban has been introduced:
- every Saturday from 3 July to 28 August 2021, from 7 am to 3 pm (after 3 pm and until 10 pm on Sundays, the restriction comprehends the entire Austrian network)
Vehicles that already have the derogation to circulate in Italy and Germany are exempt from the prohibitions.
In addition, supplementary bans apply every Saturday from the 3rd July to the 28th of August 2021, from 8 am to 3 pm, in both directions of travel, on the following roads:
- B 178 Loferer Straße, from Lofer to Wörgl (Land Tyrol);
- B 320 Ennstalstraße, starting at km. 4.5 (Land of Salzburg);
- B 177 Seefelder Straße, on the entire stretch (Land Tyrol, itinerary leading to the Austrian-German border of Scharnitz / Mittenwald);
- B 179 Fernpass Straße, from Nassereith to Biberwier (Land Tyrol);
- B 181 Achensee Straße, on the entire stretch (Land Tyrol).
- A / 4 “Ostautobahn”, from the Schwechat junction (Vienna airport area) to the Hungarian border of Nickelsdorf, except transport with unloading or loading in the districts of Neusiedl am See, Eisenstadt, Eisenstadt-district, Rust, Mattersburg, Bruck an der Leitha, Gänsendorf and Korneuburg.
Exempt from these prohibitions are, among others, the transport of animals for slaughter, periodical press, refueling drinks in tourist areas, refueling of fuel stations, transport for catering or repairs of refrigeration systems, breakdown or repair services, transport of medicines, vehicles of road authorities or vehicles that carry out works for the latter or for railway construction sites, transport of solid urban waste, transport in combined regime for the nearest railway terminal or coming from this with a special railway consignment note.
